Admission Arrangements

The admissions policy of this school is common to all County and Controlled Schools in West Sussex.  The policy is outlined in the booklet ‘Information for Parents’ published by the Local Authority.  Information about admissions can also be accessed by clicking here.

Children are admitted to school at the beginning of the academic year in which they will be five.

If you feel, for whatever reason, that you may find the Admissions process difficult, the West Sussex SEND IAS Service can help.  For further details you can call: 0330 222 8555; email: send.ias@westsussex.gov.uk or click to download: SEND IAS Admissions poster.

If your child is already between the ages of five and eleven and you would like them to join Shelley School, please contact the school direct.  A place may be offered if the number in the appropriate year group is below our admission limit although all moves will be managed by the Admissions Team (see above).

You are more than welcome to visit the school to meet the Headteacher and see the children at work at any time throughout the year.  Please contact the school beforehand to make an appointment.

If your child is due to start at Shelley this September 2018 please use the link on the left to access further information.
